The one with the Singing Sensation

My parents had gone to Cambodia last weekend, some company trip. I stayed at home alone on Saturday coz I had no mood to go out. I watched tv while surfing the net in the living room using my fine wireless network. Heheh... Then I looked around and saw the usual bunch of CDs near the tv. So i turned on the speakers and mic and I SANG...

Lonely, I'm so lonely,
I had nobody,
To sing with me...Oooohhh...

I sang karaoke at home alone. JC came back late in the afternoon and joined me for a couple of songs. He then backed out after half an hour and went for his part time job. I continued on and I think I sang for 3 hours straight. I guess I was trying to enlighten myself after a hard week work. Hahahha...

Then I watched the finals of the Astro Classic Golden Melody Singing Competition 2007. Nowadays the veterans look so young and cool. With just a bit of touchup, they looked like their own sons and daughters.

Then later on i turned to WaTV and there was another singing competition - Supergirl - from China. I watched it also...till late. Eh, nothing to do ma!

It's like whenever you are trying to look for a nice programme to watch on TV nowadays, there is bound to have a singing competition in one of the channels. American idol, ATQ singing competition, Akademi Fantasia, Supergirl, Superstar blah blah blah... I guess the easiest way to reach fame now is to enter the singing competition.

Oh well, personally I tot of participating in one of these singing contests before. Hahah...but I never had the guts to go coz my singing is just ya know "oklah" only. On top of tat, most of the contests i noticed are based on looks and figures more than the singing capabilities. Poor YC... So my left brain won as I stick to the reality and be more practical.

Since American Idol started with the audition videos released out on TV, I would have never known tat so many ppl are just plain crazy about fame. Though it's really fun watching these ppl clowning around, croaking like frogs, acting smugly as they themselves think their singing was good...

It doesn't matter if they are young or veteran...

It doesn't matter if they are as thin as Stephanie Sun or as big as Lydia Shum...

It doesn't matter if they could dance like Rain or Leon Lai...

It doesn't matter if they look like Lee Hom or Eight Pounds Gold...

and it certainly doesn't matter if they could sing like Whitney Houston or William Hung...

They just wan to be on TV and taste the fame for just a minute.

Who knows? Try participating in one of the contests guys. Maybe the judges might just love you...

THEY REALLY JUST MIGHT...

...

Hooray!!! I got a wireless router at home liao...hahaha...i'm so happy eventhough i was the one who pinched out the money. I was thinking of saving up some money to buy a nice digicam but instead i got this first. Oh well, at least tat'll stop my mum's bragging once and for all. (She kept complaining we hogged the line everyday so she cant surf the net) Now i can even blog while i go shit in the toilet...hahaha... I'M NOT KIDDING.

Honey moved into his new condo this month. It is nicely deco-ed with earth-coloured cabinets and furniture. Got a plasma tv, ozonater fridge (removes ethylene gas from veges/fruits), multi-tasks washing machine, astro, neoplasma air-cond and remote-controlled ceiling fan. Lucky for the Teh brothers indeed. I will bunk in once in a while of coz. Hehe... Honey loves the unit so much tat he almost mop the floor and clean the cabinets everyday. Nice to see him doing the hseworks while i flip thru all the channels on Astro. Hahhaha...

Last Sunday, me, Cassey and Jolly joined our dear Wendy and Brandon at Casamia, SS2. The aim? To help out in choosing the best wedding gowns for the bride-to-be of coz! Three of us were so excited bout it tat we scrambled around choosing the best-looking gowns for her to tryout. It was tiring man! The gowns were so big and heavy!

Brandon was the chief judge tat time. Anything like "errr", *hand covering mouth* or *fake laugh* from him, the subjected gowns would be off the list. Too bad we were prohibited to snap any photos there. It was definitely a nice bridal show. Some really awesome gowns were booked by other customers so poor Wendy didn't have much choice. We spent few hours there and finally Wendy settled with three stunning wedding gowns and three elegant evening wear.

I scanned thru the examples of the wedding photos from the shop and i really liked it. Instead of the usual face-the-camera-with-awkward-lovey-dovey-pose pics, the photographer really captured the feel and warmth from those happy couples. They were so natural and beautiful tat i almost grabbed honey to go take wedding pics right away.

Tat Sunday was Mother's Day too so we went out for a family dinner. I didnt buy anything for mum tat day so i made it up by buying the wireless router this week SO she can online. End up i'm the one enjoying it. Hehhe...

P/S: FINALLY i started my yoga lessons!

A Boring Sunday Afternoon...

It's Sunday again and i'm sitting in front of my laptop at home. Yday got back to work after my long leave. J told me she was bored last week till she didn't talk at all. Everyone (including the cleaner) asked her where I'd gone to also. Well, i said she should have told everybody tat "I had to take one week off to mourn at home since I'd lost my beloved teacher in the lab" or "I had also resign". Ahhhahha...

Alright, I'm bored now.

Matchmaking Operations

Last month, one of the Sundays, Cassey and I celebrated YC’s belated b’day at Sunway Redbox. I’m getting fed up wif Redbox liao, not only they increased their lunch price to a minimum RM10 charge, they also decreased our K time. It was supposed to be from 11am to 2pm but they cut us off an hour earlier coz we had only 3 persons. Dumbass! I didn’t get to sing the Theresa’s Carmen! HUH! Next time gonna stick to Galaxy liao…

We were frustrated so we drove all the way to The Curve’s Redbox to continue again. Hahhaah…just kidding. Actually we went to Cineleisure to watch Sunshine. YC was forced to watch movie with us, hahaha…

Upon waiting for the movie to start, we settled down at Winter Warmers to have an afternoon tea. Cassey ordered a three-storey-tea-snack for us to try. It consisted of some butter biscuits, cheesecake and some really hard pies. We just sat at the porch of the shop, chewing on the cookies, chit-chatting and observing the passersby. Hey, we had 3 hours to kill man!

We actually had a lot to talk about in 3 hours. The topic went from primary schoolmates to colleagues, from our working life to the discovery of religions, from parents to friends, from the DJ sitting in front of us to the couple walking by the shop…

And then there was the highlight of the day, we talked bout matchmaking. Cassey mentioned tat her parents and frens tried to match make her.

Angie: Huh? YC, u got any frens to intro to her o not?
YC: Let me think, ah, there’s this guy, 1982. He was my uni fren and he’s a really really nice guy but then…

Cassey: *faint*
Angie: NEXT!

YC: There’s another one, also 82.
Cassey: I cant get away from 82 issit?
YC: He’s very endao one…just one thing bout him…

Cassey: NO! I cannot tahan...
Angie: NEXT!!

Angie: NEXT! NEXT!

YC: Hahhah…ok ok. Ah, another 81 also, he’s very rich and nice…
Angie: Then?
YC: He stammers a bit…

Cassey: Hahhahahaahahhhah….
Angie: NEXT! NEXT! NEXT!

YC: Yo, oklo. One of my colleagues. 29 yers old, quite goodlooking one.
Angie: Uh huh?
YC: He’s very quiet one…
Angie: Cannot also…
YC: Why le? Too talkative cannot, too quiet also cannot?

YC: Okla, he’s also a bit short temper, not gentleman enuf and sensitive lo…
Cassey: *cannot stop giggling*
Angie: Got SOMEMORE o not??

YC: No more liao.
YC: Wait, another one, 28 yers old. Very guai one…
Angie: But??
YC: But a bit weird…

Angie + Cassey: *sweat**sweat*

Angie: No more liao issit?
YC: I think tat’s it la…
Angie: Y all ur frens weird one?
Cassey: Yalo…all got their own character.
YC: I also dunno…

Then we couldn’t stop laughing…
